I think that's what's so fun about the photo challenges - coming up with your own take on the daily prompt. When I started looking around my home for any kind of pattern, I found very little to shoot! Guess I'm a plain Jane.
I wish we didn't need them! Am feeling a little closed-in about now. Too much snow for us to get down the driveway. But the mittens will come in handy for shoveling. One done, one to go.
And the beauty of this pattern is there's no right or left mitten ... either will fit either hand. I usually make three mittens when I give a pair to a child - they're ALWAYS losing one!

Yay, mittens! I wish it were cold enough where I live to warrant knitting a pair for myself :)
ha ha ha! You are technically correct. besides it's "art" so isn't it all up to your interpretation?

No matter what I do, I always end up with mittens with holes chewed through (from the dogs), or mismatched pairs. I really should learn to knit....
