February 2 - Pattern

The pattern book I'm using to knit a pair of mittens for my husband.
And if you're a knitter, this book is essential, in my opinion.

Yay, mittens! I wish it were cold enough where I live to warrant knitting a pair for myself :)

ha ha ha! You are technically correct. besides it's "art" so isn't it all up to your interpretation?

I think that's what's so fun about the photo challenges - coming up with your own take on the daily prompt. When I started looking around my home for any kind of pattern, I found very little to shoot! Guess I'm a plain Jane.

I wish we didn't need them! Am feeling a little closed-in about now. Too much snow for us to get down the driveway. But the mittens will come in handy for shoveling. One done, one to go.

No matter what I do, I always end up with mittens with holes chewed through (from the dogs), or mismatched pairs. I really should learn to knit....

And the beauty of this pattern is there's no right or left mitten ... either will fit either hand. I usually make three mittens when I give a pair to a child - they're ALWAYS losing one!
